Kontakt Instruments
I’ve developed a number of custom Kontakt instruments over the years for use in my own projects. I’ve decided to share some of them — a couple are free, and a couple are available via Loot Audio. These are small, fun, and hopefully useful. Use at your own risk — no guarantees or refunds if your hair falls out. 😉
🎸 Dream Guitar (Kontakt 4.2+)
Made from bowed electric guitar samples from a larger library. This patch came about while writing a cue —
great for bassy pads.

A deep, ominous drone from didgeridoo recordings for an Australian documentary. Stretched and processed —

🎼 Thumb Piano — £3.58 (Kontakt)
Sampled from a market find in the south of France — turned into two instruments, originally created for a Zanzibar-based programme.
🎵 Flute Taps — £3.00 (Kontakt)
A tuned percussive Kontakt instrument made from flute key tap recordings. Sampled and assembled from pads and mouthpiece taps.
